Born in Honduras, Darla Ebanks came to the United States in 1967. Her love of art came from doodling in her school note books as a young girl. She received a lot of praise from her class paintings from her teachers but not from her family with the exception of her sister. She stopped painting at 11 years old and picked it back up in 2001. Despite enjoying painting and spending days on pieces, Darla originally painted in secret because she didn’t believe her work was good enough for people to see. She was discovered and brought to market by Julia Seabrook Gallery in 2021. The pricing of Darla Ebank's work continues to rise as it circulates. Darla's age, expertise in craft and scale of her paintings make her work a great investment for any art collector. Darla lives and works in Brooklyn, New York with a current solo exhibition at My Gallery, in New York City. Her upcoming exhibitions include Aqua Art Miami 2022, The Other Art Fair, 2023, Abstract-A Solo Exhibition
